In November 2006 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Escalas by Rómulo Macció. The »bidding war« ended at USD 31,200.00 (€ 23,527.64), 73% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rómulo Macció - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sun and Cold on Nassau Street, which sold at auction in November 2016 for USD 81,250.00 (€ 76,810.36).

Im November 2006 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Escalas von Rómulo Macció zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 31.200,00 (€ 23.527,64) und damit 73% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Rómulo Macció mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sun and Cold on Nassau Street beobachtet, die im November 2016 für USD 81.250,00 (€ 76.810,36) versteigert wurde.
