Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2017 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art – Day Sale, which included the work Still Life by Roland Strasser. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 35,000.00 (€ 3,852.16) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Roland Strasser achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dancers in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 687,500.00 (€ 67,298.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2017 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art – Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life von Roland Strasser zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 35.000,00 (€ 3.852,16) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Roland Strasser erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dancers im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 687.500,00 (€ 67.298,56).
