Sold at the upper estimate price
In July 2020 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Day Sale, which included the work Sampik Dancer by Roland Strasser. The auction ended at the price of HKD 250,000.00 (€ 27,390.86), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 140,000.00 – 250,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Roland Strasser - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dancers, which sold at auction in April 2013 for HKD 687,500.00 (€ 67,298.56).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Juli 2020 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sampik Dancer von Roland Strasser zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 250.000,00 (€ 27.390,86) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 140.000,00 – 250.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Roland Strasser mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Dancers beobachtet, die im April 2013 für HKD 687.500,00 (€ 67.298,56) versteigert wurde.
