Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2018 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) Including a Selection of Japanese Woodblock Prints from Private Collections, which included the work Balinese Dancer by Roland Strasser. It changed hands for a price of HKD 275,000.00 (€ 31,038.59) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 180,000.00 – 280,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Roland Strasser - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dancers, which sold at auction in April 2013 for HKD 687,500.00 (€ 67,298.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2018 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) Including a Selection of Japanese Woodblock Prints from Private Collections durch, in der auch die Arbeit Balinese Dancer von Roland Strasser zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 275.000,00 (€ 31.038,59) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 180.000,00 – 280.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Roland Strasser mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Dancers beobachtet, die im April 2013 für HKD 687.500,00 (€ 67.298,56) versteigert wurde.
