Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2018 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) Including a Selection of Japanese Woodblock Prints from Private Collections, which included the work Fishermen and Prau Along the Indonesian Coast by Roland Strasser. The price achieved of HKD 50,000.00 (€ 5,643.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Roland Strasser achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dancers in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 687,500.00 (€ 67,298.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2018 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) Including a Selection of Japanese Woodblock Prints from Private Collections durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fishermen and Prau Along the Indonesian Coast von Roland Strasser zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 50.000,00 (€ 5.643,38) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Roland Strasser erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dancers im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 687.500,00 (€ 67.298,56).
