This artwork by Roland Strasser achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2013. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings auction, the work Dancers sold for HKD 687,500.00 (€ 67,298.56) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 250,000.00. This high result makes Dancers the most expensive artwork by Roland Strasser that we have observed at auctions so far.
