This artwork by Roland Strasser achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2012. In the Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings auction, the work Seated Lady sold for HKD 400,000.00 (€ 39,820.96) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Roland Strasser; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Dancers sold at auction in April 2013 with the realized price of HKD 687,500.00 (€ 67,298.56).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Roland Strasser erzielte im Oktober 2012 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings wurde die Arbeit Seated Lady für HKD 400.000,00 (€ 39.820,96) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 200.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Roland Strasser; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Dancers im April 2013 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 687.500,00 (€ 67.298,56).
