This artwork by Roland Strasser achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2012. In the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction, the work Balinese Dancer sold for HKD 275,000.00 (€ 28,647.69) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 140,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Roland Strasser - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dancers, which sold at auction in April 2013 for HKD 687,500.00 (€ 67,298.56).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 96 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Roland Strasser erzielte im Mai 2012 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) wurde die Arbeit Balinese Dancer für HKD 275.000,00 (€ 28.647,69) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 140.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Roland Strasser mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Dancers beobachtet, die im April 2013 für HKD 687.500,00 (€ 67.298,56) versteigert wurde.
