Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2000 Christies in London held the auction 19th and 20th Century Photographs, which included the work 'Children, Southam St.', 1957 by Roger Mayne. The price achieved of GBP 352.50 (€ 602.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Admittedly, works by Roger Mayne have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Three Studies, 1950S in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,900.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2000 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th and 20th Century Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'Children, Southam St.', 1957 von Roger Mayne zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 352,50 (€ 602,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Roger Mayne auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Three Studies, 1950S im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.900,91).
