Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Terrasses à Marrakech by Roger Limouse was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 6,000.00 – 800,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 13,750.00 (€ 16,504.49) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Roger Limouse - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work L'Heure Du Thé, which sold at auction in November 2014 for EUR 48,884.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Terrasses à Marrakech von Roger Limouse kam im Juni 2016 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 800.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 13.750,00 (€ 16.504,49) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Roger Limouse mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit L'Heure Du Thé beobachtet, die im November 2014 für EUR 48.884,00 versteigert wurde.
