Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Australian Configuration by Roger Kemp was auctioned at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2009. The price achieved of AUD 24,000.00 (€ 14,110.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Roger Kemp have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Australian Abstract Structure in April 2008 with an auction result of AUD 114,000.00 (€ 68,972.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Australian Configuration von Roger Kemp kam im August 2009 bei Sothebys in Melbourne zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 24.000,00 (€ 14.110,07) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Roger Kemp auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Australian Abstract Structure im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 114.000,00 (€ 68.972,64).
