Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Australian Suspended Circle by Roger Kemp was sold in the Important Australian Art Including Selected International Works auction at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2007. The price achieved of AUD 11,400.00 (€ 6,816.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Roger Kemp achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian Abstract Structure in April 2008 with an auction result of AUD 114,000.00 (€ 68,972.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Australian Suspended Circle von Roger Kemp wurde im August 2007 in der Auktion Important Australian Art Including Selected International Works bei Sothebys in Melbourne versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 11.400,00 (€ 6.816,93) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Roger Kemp erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Australian Abstract Structure im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 114.000,00 (€ 68.972,64).
