Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2006 Christies in Melbourne held the auction Australian, International & Contemporary Paintings Part II, which included the work Extension by Roger Kemp. Here, the upper estimate of AUD 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for AUD 31,070.00 (€ 18,687.78). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Roger Kemp - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Australian Abstract Structure, which sold at auction in April 2008 for AUD 114,000.00 (€ 68,972.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2006 führte Christies in Melbourne die Auktion Australian, International & Contemporary Paintings Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Extension von Roger Kemp zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von AUD 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für AUD 31.070,00 (€ 18.687,78) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Roger Kemp mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Australian Abstract Structure beobachtet, die im April 2008 für AUD 114.000,00 (€ 68.972,64) versteigert wurde.
