Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2011 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Leaning Chartres With Cobalt And Copper Crystals by Roger Hiorns. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,126.46). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Roger Hiorns - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Copper Sulphate Chartres & Copper Sulphate Notre-Dame, which sold at auction in February 2012 for GBP 25,000.00 (€ 29,850.66).
