Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Roger Hiorns was sold in the Contemporary Curated auction at Sothebys in London in November 2021. The price achieved of GBP 12,600.00 (€ 14,793.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Roger Hiorns - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Copper Sulphate Chartres & Copper Sulphate Notre-Dame, which sold at auction in February 2012 for GBP 25,000.00 (€ 29,850.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Roger Hiorns wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.600,00 (€ 14.793,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Roger Hiorns mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Copper Sulphate Chartres & Copper Sulphate Notre-Dame beobachtet, die im Februar 2012 für GBP 25.000,00 (€ 29.850,66) versteigert wurde.
