Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Roger Hilton could be acquired at Phillips in London in January this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Evening & Day Editions auction, the work Untitled; and Untitled changed hands for GBP 315.00 (€ 357.53) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Roger Hilton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work December 1960 in November 2017 with an auction result of GBP 212,500.00 (€ 241,219.11).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Roger Hilton konnte im Januar diesen Jahres bei Phillips in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Evening & Day Editions wechselte die Arbeit Untitled; and Untitled für GBP 315,00 (€ 357,53) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Roger Hilton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit December 1960 im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 212.500,00 (€ 241.219,11).
