However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Roger Chastel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Le Bistrot (Xxviii), 1961, which sold at auction in December 2006 for EUR 8,016.00.

Die Arbeit Le Cirque Iii von Roger Chastel kam im Dezember 2006 bei Artcurial in Paris zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 2.220,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 48 %. Für andere Arbeiten von Roger Chastel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Le Bistrot (Xxviii), 1961 beobachtet, die im Dezember 2006 für EUR 8.016,00 versteigert wurde.
