Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Jeune Enfant Assis by Roger Chastel was auctioned at Artcurial in Paris in June 2007. The price achieved of EUR 1,859.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Roger Chastel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Le Bistrot (Xxviii), 1961 in December 2006 with an auction result of EUR 8,016.00.

Die Arbeit Jeune Enfant Assis von Roger Chastel kam im Juni 2007 bei Artcurial in Paris zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.859,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Roger Chastel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Le Bistrot (Xxviii), 1961 im Dezember 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 8.016,00.
