Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La Lettre V (Port-Royal), Circa 1964 by Roger Chastel was auctioned at Artcurial in Paris in December 2006. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 2,220.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Roger Chastel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Le Bistrot (Xxviii), 1961, which sold at auction in December 2006 for EUR 8,016.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit La Lettre V (Port-Royal), Circa 1964 von Roger Chastel kam im Dezember 2006 bei Artcurial in Paris zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 2.220,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Roger Chastel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Le Bistrot (Xxviii), 1961 beobachtet, die im Dezember 2006 für EUR 8.016,00 versteigert wurde.
