Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Roberto Fabelo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in October 2021. In the Post-War to Present auction, the work Discurso de las moscas (The Discourse of the Flies) sold for USD 525,000.00 (€ 454,466.76) - well above the upper estimate of USD 200,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Roberto Fabelo; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Perrerío sold at auction in March last year with the realized price of USD 579,600.00 (€ 522,491.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Roberto Fabelo erzielte im Oktober 2021 bei Christies einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War to Present wurde die Arbeit Discurso de las moscas (The Discourse of the Flies) für USD 525.000,00 (€ 454.466,76) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 200.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Roberto Fabelo; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Perrerío im März letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 579.600,00 (€ 522.491,66).
