Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Robert Rauschenberg could be acquired at Christies in New York in September 2000 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 19th and 20th Century Contemporary Prints and Multiples auction, the work Untitled (Harvey Gantt) changed hands for USD 411.25 (€ 465.37) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Rauschenberg achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Buffalo Ii in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 88,805,000.00 (€ 79,652,883.67).
