In November 2004 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art (Afternoon Session), which included the work Curved Plane/Figure, No.11 by Robert Mangold. The »bidding war« ended at USD 47,800.00 (€ 36,050.98), 59% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Mangold achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in February 2016 with an auction result of GBP 746,500.00 (€ 956,547.57).

Im November 2004 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art (Afternoon Session) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Curved Plane/Figure, No.11 von Robert Mangold zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 47.800,00 (€ 36.050,98) und damit 59% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Mangold erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Februar 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 746.500,00 (€ 956.547,57).
