The result of GBP 500.00 (€ 578.30) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Admittedly, works by Robert Kipniss have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Large Vase in March 2009 with an auction result of USD 7,500.00 (€ 5,655.68).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Breezes II von Robert Kipniss kam im September 2010 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 500,00 (€ 578,30) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Robert Kipniss auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Large Vase im März 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 7.500,00 (€ 5.655,68).
