Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Recto/Verso by Robert Heinecken was auctioned at Phillips in New York in October 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 32,500.00 (€ 27,901.79) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Robert Heinecken have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cliché Vary/Lesbianism in October 2014 with an auction result of USD 149,000.00 (€ 118,914.60).
