Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Connecticut Country Home by Robert Emmett Owen was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2007. The price achieved of USD 8,750.00 (€ 6,047.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Emmett Owen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Silvermine Mill, Connecticut, which sold at auction in March 2007 for USD 22,800.00 (€ 17,048.00).

Die Arbeit Connecticut Country Home von Robert Emmett Owen kam im Oktober 2007 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 6.047,83) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Robert Emmett Owen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Silvermine Mill, Connecticut beobachtet, die im März 2007 für USD 22.800,00 (€ 17.048,00) versteigert wurde.
