Auction result well in line with expectations

East India Company And Presented By Them To His Majesty by Robert Dodd was sold in the Maritime Pictures auction at Christies in London in May 2006. The price achieved of GBP 9,600.00 (€ 14,012.87) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Robert Dodd have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Greenland Whale Fishery in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 88,800.00 (€ 131,870.78).
