In September 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Masters Online | Part I: Property from the SØR Rusche Collection | Part II: Property from Various Owners, which included the work The Battle Of San Domingo, 6 February 1806 by Robert Dodd. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,168.10), 63% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Dodd achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Greenland Whale Fishery in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 88,800.00 (€ 131,870.78).

Im September 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Masters Online | Part I: Property from the SØR Rusche Collection | Part II: Property from Various Owners durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Battle Of San Domingo, 6 February 1806 von Robert Dodd zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.168,10) und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Dodd erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Greenland Whale Fishery im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 88.800,00 (€ 131.870,78).
