Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Robert Dighton could be acquired at Sothebys in London in July 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master & British Drawings including French Masterworks from the Dormeuil Collection auction, the work Intelligence On The Peace changed hands for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,142.35) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Other works by Robert Dighton have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in July 2013 by the work Tally Ho! at GBP 4,375.00 (€ 4,999.20).
