Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Robert Dighton could be acquired at Christies in London in January 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Drop of comfort (illustrated); and Melting moments changed hands for GBP 137.50 (€ 184.32) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 400.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Dighton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tally Ho! in July 2013 with an auction result of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 4,999.20).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Robert Dighton konnte im Januar 2008 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wechselte die Arbeit Drop of comfort (illustrated); and Melting moments für GBP 137,50 (€ 184,32) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 400,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Dighton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tally Ho! im Juli 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 4.999,20).
