Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2021 Christies in New York held the auction Contemporary Edition, which included the work American Signs by Robert Cottingham. Here, the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 16,250.00 (€ 13,838.03). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Cottingham achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Barrera-Rosa'S in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 346,000.00 (€ 310,731.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2021 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Contemporary Edition durch, in der auch die Arbeit American Signs von Robert Cottingham zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 16.250,00 (€ 13.838,03) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Cottingham erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Barrera-Rosa'S im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 346.000,00 (€ 310.731,93).
