In November this year Christies in New York held the auction 21st Century Evening Sale, which included the work Eat dem Taters by Robert Colescott. The »bidding war« ended at USD 3,922,000.00 (€ 3,595,526.22), 31% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Colescott - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work George Washington Carver Crossing The Delaware: Page From An American History Textbook, which sold at auction in May 2021 for USD 15,315,900.00 (€ 12,560,193.54).

Im November diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion 21st Century Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Eat dem Taters von Robert Colescott zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 3.922.000,00 (€ 3.595.526,22) und damit 31% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Robert Colescott mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit George Washington Carver Crossing The Delaware: Page From An American History Textbook beobachtet, die im Mai 2021 für USD 15.315.900,00 (€ 12.560.193,54) versteigert wurde.
