Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Standing Woman I by Robert Clatworthy was sold in the 20th Century British Art including Works from the Collection of Bannon & Barnabas McHenry auction at Christies in London in December 2008. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,100.58). Admittedly, works by Robert Clatworthy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Horse & Rider in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 15,258.20).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Standing Woman I von Robert Clatworthy wurde im Dezember 2008 in der Auktion 20th Century British Art including Works from the Collection of Bannon & Barnabas McHenry bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 2.000,00 (€ 2.100,58) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Robert Clatworthy auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Horse & Rider im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 15.258,20).
