The work Seated figure by Robert Clatworthy was sold in the 20th Century British Art auction at Christies in London in October 2008. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,576.56), 46% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Clatworthy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Horse & Rider, which sold at auction in October 2007 for GBP 10,625.00 (€ 15,258.20).

Die Arbeit Seated figure von Robert Clatworthy wurde im Oktober 2008 in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.576,56) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Robert Clatworthy mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Horse & Rider beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für GBP 10.625,00 (€ 15.258,20) versteigert wurde.
