The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,576.56), 46% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Clatworthy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Horse & Rider, which sold at auction in October 2007 for GBP 10,625.00 (€ 15,258.20).

Für andere Arbeiten von Robert Clatworthy mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Horse & Rider beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für GBP 10.625,00 (€ 15.258,20) versteigert wurde.
