Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Relief II by Robert Clatworthy for GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,312.86). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century British Art including Works from the Collection of Bannon & Barnabas McHenry at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Clatworthy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Horse & Rider in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 15,258.20).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Relief II von Robert Clatworthy für GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.312,86) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th Century British Art including Works from the Collection of Bannon & Barnabas McHenry bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Clatworthy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Horse & Rider im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 15.258,20).
