The work Head; and Head XIV by Robert Clatworthy was sold in the 20th Century British Art including Works from the Collection of Bannon & Barnabas McHenry auction at Christies in London in December 2008. The auction ended at the price of GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,575.44), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Robert Clatworthy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Horse & Rider in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 15,258.20).

Die Arbeit Head; and Head XIV von Robert Clatworthy wurde im Dezember 2008 in der Auktion 20th Century British Art including Works from the Collection of Bannon & Barnabas McHenry bei Christies in London versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.500,00 (€ 1.575,44) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Robert Clatworthy auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Horse & Rider im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 15.258,20).
