In November 2000 Christies in London held the auction British Art on Paper, which included the work Stained-glass design of putto playing the flute by Robert Anning Bell. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,585.00 (€ 4,225.08), 29% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Robert Anning Bell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Four Reliefs: A Mermaid; The Fortune Teller; And The Ball Of Wool (Two Linked Designs) in September 2021 with an auction result of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 23,270.28).

Im November 2000 führte Christies in London die Auktion British Art on Paper durch, in der auch die Arbeit Stained-glass design of putto playing the flute von Robert Anning Bell zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.585,00 (€ 4.225,08) und damit 29% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Robert Anning Bell auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Four Reliefs: A Mermaid; The Fortune Teller; And The Ball Of Wool (Two Linked Designs) im September 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 23.270,28).
