Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ampersand by Rob Wynne was auctioned at Phillips in New York in September 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,250.00 (€ 2,891.97) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Rob Wynne have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fate in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 18,900.00 (€ 16,227.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Ampersand von Rob Wynne kam im September 2016 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.250,00 (€ 2.891,97) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rob Wynne auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fate im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 18.900,00 (€ 16.227,35).
