Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Alone (Facing East) by Rob Pruitt was sold in the Contemporary Edition: New York: Featuring the Collection of Kenwal Steel in Support of GLAAD auction at Christies in New York in March this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,032.00 (€ 3,708.61) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rob Pruitt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 6:20Pm, Late Summer in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 315,000.00 (€ 242,531.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Alone (Facing East) von Rob Pruitt wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion Contemporary Edition: New York: Featuring the Collection of Kenwal Steel in Support of GLAAD bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 4.032,00 (€ 3.708,61) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rob Pruitt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 6:20Pm, Late Summer im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 315.000,00 (€ 242.531,57).
