This artwork by Rita Ackermann achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in July this year. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art auction, the work Fire By Days XXVIII sold for USD 9,525.00 (€ 8,643.38) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rita Ackermann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Water Lilies in Chalk V in September 2018 with an auction result of USD 115,500.00 (€ 99,380.49).

In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Fire By Days XXVIII für USD 9.525,00 (€ 8.643,38) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rita Ackermann erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Water Lilies in Chalk V im September 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 115.500,00 (€ 99.380,49).
