Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2002 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS & DRAWINGS INCLUDING FLOWER PICTURES, which included the work Owl with chicks by Rien Poortvliet. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 900.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 1,015.75. Admittedly, works by Rien Poortvliet have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tegen de draad in in June 2004 with an auction result of EUR 5,975.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2002 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS & DRAWINGS INCLUDING FLOWER PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit Owl with chicks von Rien Poortvliet zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 900,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 1.015,75 einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rien Poortvliet auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tegen de draad in im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 5.975,00.
