Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work A fox with its prey by Rien Poortvliet for EUR 1,920.00. This price was achieved in the auction Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings at Christies in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rien Poortvliet - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tegen de draad in, which sold at auction in June 2004 for EUR 5,975.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2006 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A fox with its prey von Rien Poortvliet für EUR 1.920,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings bei Christies in Amsterdam erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Rien Poortvliet mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tegen de draad in beobachtet, die im Juni 2004 für EUR 5.975,00 versteigert wurde.
