Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Giraffes on the savannah by Rien Poortvliet was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2006. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 700.00 – 900.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 720.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Rien Poortvliet have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tegen de draad in in June 2004 with an auction result of EUR 5,975.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Giraffes on the savannah von Rien Poortvliet kam im September 2006 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 700,00 – 900,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 720,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rien Poortvliet auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tegen de draad in im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 5.975,00.
