Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2006 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work Hunter shooting duck by a lake by Rien Poortvliet. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 2,160.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rien Poortvliet - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tegen de draad in, which sold at auction in June 2004 for EUR 5,975.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2006 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hunter shooting duck by a lake von Rien Poortvliet zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 2.160,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Rien Poortvliet mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tegen de draad in beobachtet, die im Juni 2004 für EUR 5.975,00 versteigert wurde.
