Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Rick Amor could be acquired at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Important Australian Art auction, the work Australian the Port changed hands for AUD 72,000.00 (€ 42,029.86) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of AUD 80,000.00 – 100,000.00. Other works by Rick Amor have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in August 2007 by the work Australian Evening By The Sea at AUD 90,000.00 (€ 53,817.90).
