The work Australian Evening By The Sea by Rick Amor was sold in the Important Australian Art Including Selected International Works auction at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2007. The auction ended at the price of AUD 90,000.00 (€ 53,817.90), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of AUD 70,000.00 – 90,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Australian Evening By The Sea is the most expensive artwork by Rick Amor that we have observed at auctions so far.
