Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Australian Broken Ship by Rick Amor was auctioned at Sothebys in Sydney in April 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of AUD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of AUD 26,400.00 (€ 15,972.61) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rick Amor - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Australian Evening By The Sea, which sold at auction in August 2007 for AUD 90,000.00 (€ 53,817.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Australian Broken Ship von Rick Amor kam im April 2008 bei Sothebys in Sydney zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von AUD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von AUD 26.400,00 (€ 15.972,61) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Rick Amor mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Australian Evening By The Sea beobachtet, die im August 2007 für AUD 90.000,00 (€ 53.817,90) versteigert wurde.
