Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work A View Of The Acqua Acetosa by Richard Wilson. The price achieved of USD 28,125.00 (€ 22,201.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Wilson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The White Monk in January 2001 with an auction result of USD 391,000.00 (€ 420,068.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2012 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A View Of The Acqua Acetosa von Richard Wilson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 28.125,00 (€ 22.201,61) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Wilson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The White Monk im Januar 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 391.000,00 (€ 420.068,76).
