In the A Fine Line: Master Works on Paper from Five Centuries auction, the work Study of trees on a hillside, probably at Lake Nemi sold for GBP 32,760.00 (€ 38,417.89) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Wilson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The White Monk in January 2001 with an auction result of USD 391,000.00 (€ 420,068.76).
