A top price for Richard Spare - as previously expected
The work Aqua Jug by Richard Spare was sold in the British and Continental Pictures and Prints auction at Christies in London in May 2006. The price achieved of GBP 360.00 (€ 525.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 400.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Aqua Jug is the most expensive artwork by Richard Spare that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Aqua Jug von Richard Spare wurde im Mai 2006 in der Auktion British and Continental Pictures and Prints bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 360,00 (€ 525,48) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 300,00 – 400,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Aqua Jug das teuerste Kunstwerk von Richard Spare, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
