Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Richard Nonas achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2020. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art: Amsterdam auction, the work without title sold for EUR 8,750.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 3,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Richard Nonas; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Downtown shortline. sold at auction in June 2021 with the realized price of EUR 15,480.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Richard Nonas erzielte im November 2020 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art: Amsterdam wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für EUR 8.750,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 3.000,00.
